These are a beautiful pair of Art Nouveau Royal Doulton Stoneware Cylinder Vases circa 1900. The base of each vase is impressed with the Royal Doulton Mark and Pattern Number 8409.
Royal Doulton is an English Ceramic & Home Accessories manufacturer founded by John Doulton in 1815. It originally operated as Doulton from Vauxhall, London later moving to Lambeth. In 182 Doulton opened a factory in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent the centre of English Pottery. It was in 1901 that King Edward VII awarded the Royal Warrant to Doulton and the right to use 'Royal' on the name of its products.
Both of these Cylinder Vases are 20 cm in height and in very good condition. They bear no chips, cracks, repair or crazing.
