A beautiful Fairyland Lustre Bowl circa. 1920 designed by Daisy Makeig-Jones. She started her Oriental designs in 1911 and moved to her Fairyland Lustre designs in 1915.
This delightful Lustre Bowl is mottled pale blue and depicts golden dragons around the outside of the bowl. It has a deep gilt border on the inside of the bowl with a gilded serpent design in the base.
In good condition for its age the base bears the Portland Vase Mark with Pattern Number Z4829. The bowl measures 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter across the top, 2 inches (5 cm) in height and 1.75 inches (4.5 cm) across the base. It bears no chips or crazing and is a very nice piece of Wedgewood Lustre.
