This beautiful figurine of a Black ‘Fell’ Pony is in perfect condition bearing no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration. These ‘Fell’ Pony figurines were produced by Beswick during 1961 and 1982.
Designed by Arthur Gredington this Pony stands 6.75 inches in height and is a stunning figurine and marked 'Beswick England' and 'Fell'.
The ‘Fell’ Pony is classified as a Rare Breed.
The ‘Fell’ ponies originally lived in the fells of Northwest England, specifically Northumberland, Cumberland and Westmorland. ‘Fell’ comes from the Norse word for ‘hills’. Their ancestors lived in the area before the Romans came to England in the first Century AD.
